You want to buy your first drone?

Buying your first drone is confusing

In recent time, drone industry has grown enormously. Considering that, the market got flooded by different companies and products. Which make things complicated to people who face this problem for first time.

If you read this post to the end you will know the most essential factors, you should consider before buying a drone.

Like you already got known this industry is huge and like everything new is quite hard. So let’s start with the adventure: Buying drone for the first time! Let`s party started!

1.The size of the drone.

As a new buyer you might like the big toys, but this is not always right. The big size drone could be impractical for some hobbyists. My personal advice is not to look for size, but something which will fit your needs.

2.The number of its rotors.

The modern drones are with at least 4 propellers. This makes them stability in the air much better. If you look for cinematography drone you have to check more powerful drone with 6 to 8 rotors. More rotors make carrying heavy cameras and gimbal easier.

3.Whether the camera is integrated with Gimbal or not.

A Gimbal is a pivoted support that stabilizes the camera while allowing it to rotate in several directions

4.The video resolution

Obviously, higher resolution is better for your videos.

There is an example of Mavic Pro:

C4K: 4096×2160 24p

4K: 3840×2160 24/25/30p

2.7K: 2720×1530 24/25/30p

FHD: 1920×1080 24/25/30/48/50/60/96p

HD: 1280×720 24/25/30/48/50/60/120p

5.The megapixels embedded in the camera.

12MP is reasonable camera if you want to capture good quality pictures. Everything less than that is waste of money.

6.ISO Range

Lower ISO will produce better color and dynamic range which is the ability of the camera to capture details in both highlights and shadows. General recommendation is to keep ISO as low as possible in order to get high quality pictures and videos

7.Accessible media format

The most popular one you should look are microSD, microSDHC, and microSDXC.

8.Automated flight features

The most important features for a drone are Follow, Orbit, Return to home and the most useful one Obstacle Sensing. This could prevent crashes and destroying your drone.

9.The battery life

Unfortunately for all of us, drones batteries don’t last long. Average flying time is 25 min. My advice is to buy an extra battery, if you want a bigger ride.
